The Little Green Genie Story...
Little Green Genie is a free piece of software that accurately measures and then automatically offsets the carbon emissions created directly as a result of the manufacture and ongoing use of your computer. The only cost is the carbon credit which is slowly drawn down over time. On average, a standard desktop computer that is turned on for 2-hours/day will use about $10 of credit per year or a few cents per day. Little Green Genie only buys Gold Standard carbon credits that are monitored by the UN. These credits are earned through renewable energy projects that have been audited for sustainability on environmental as well as community metrics.
